While she stood waiting on him she moved a hand to once more move the hair from her face as the wind picked up, laughing as he took her offering and took to the skies above her. After his circling she got the idea, giving one more look around cautiously before she followed after him in a run. The girl easily dodged anything that would trip her up as she followed after the bird, her eyes switching from the ground to him at a quick pace. A smile graces her lips while she ran, enjoying the breeze ruffling her hair, and cooling her off as she ran. After a few moments she lost sight of the hawk, pausing in her run to look around. After a few heart beats she found him perched up in a tree, the girl soon following after him. Once under said tree she continued on deeper into the brush, not wanting to be seen by unwanted eyes. A few more seconds of running had her deep enough not to worry, her senses on high alert however to anything or anyone around. With a huff of breath she moved to fix her hair, catching her breath with her hands on her knees, having not sprinted like that for some time. She straightened up and blinked green eyes, looking for the hawk who she hoped had followed her further while she worked out some kinks in her plan mentally.

The hawk gazed out over the landscape as he waited for the girl, taking in the magnificent view of the forest and plain, paying no mind to the town however. The sun gleamed high in the sky, now a little after mid day he figured, as he watched two squirrels , one running up the tree, the other pulled it down and they proceeded to wrestle and snicker at each other. They are lucky I already have this jerky or one of them wouldnt be here anymore. He shook his head slowly and finished his meal before looking for the girl again. He soon spotted the girl sprinting toward the forest, watching her continue on deeper into the forest. He found this to be a little odd but he nonetheless took flight and followed her as best he could, losing her the odd time in the thicker brush. He soon moved lower under the canopy of the forest so he could follow her better, talons extending out in front of him as he landed silently in a tree near by where the girl had stopped. He watched her as she caught her breath, hopping down to a lower branch, moving out along it so he as more or less in her field of view. He peaked at the branch from anxiety, looking to her and speaking out to her. "Alright Im here. I figure its not a trap but one can never be to careful." He hopped down another branch, getting closer to her yet keeping some height and distance from her still, tilted head as he looked her over still. "Now you want me to come out of my animal form I suppose?" He asked softly, staying on his lower branch this time, at eye level now with the girl, waiting for her action, ready to book it if he needed to.

She watched the bird as it stayed to itself, amused by his anxiety. Once her breath was caught the girl nodded to him, her voice soft as she spoke, still nervous of being seen or heard. "I have no interest in trapping you like some others would, I assure you that. And yes, it would be nice if we got caught to not be talking to a bird..." She trailed off, her eyes giving another scan of the place around them. She anxiously ran the palms of her hands against her shorts, fiddling with the hem of her shirt a bit nervously. Animals she was fine with, but the humans... She was always shy toward the humans... Shaking it off she flicked her head a bit move her wind tossed hair, watching as the bird slowly moved closer. "I won't bite you know."

He watched her as she spoke, nodding to the girls words, she seemed to him anxious and her looks matched her voice. She looked like she thought people were around them, taking a quick glance around himself but seeing nothing even with his sharper vision. He laughed softly as she spoke again, shaking his head. "I assure you that I would be returning the bite if you did. Possibly a few scratches with my talons as well." The bird teased softly, moving to flutter down to the forest floor after. A bright light soon emitting from his form, the outline of his form shaping into a human, his golden-yellow hawk eyes turning into a dark brown now instead. He stood looking to her with a small nervous smile, extending out a hand slowly towards her. "Hi, Im Nick. You are?"

She shuffled a bit where she stood, her attention trained on him as he spoke. Her lips curved into a grin as he replied to her bite comment, giving a slight chuckle. She watched the hawk as he made his way to the ground, blinking and rubbing her eyes after looking straight at his transforming light. When her eyes adjusted again she took a step back as she gazed upon a man not much older than herself, her green hues locking with his a moment before her shyness consumed her. She looked at his hand and blinked, outstretching hers after to place in his to shake uncertanly. She widened her eyes as he gave his name, quickly coming up with a fake one to give the man after pulling her hand away and shyly looking away. "Lilly. It's uh... Nice to meet you Nick... Did... You want some more jerky...?"

He gazed into her green eyes as they met, blinking some before she looked away from the gaze. He shook hands with her slowly before she pulled away and spoke. If she had been nervous before it was obvious that it had grown since he transformed, watching her with a tilted head. He spoke softly, looking off to the side, staring at a chickadee hoping around on a few branches and singing. "You seem a bit nervous Lilly, everything alright?" He fiddled with his fingers as waited in silence, following the chickadee still with his eyes. It bounced around chasing an invisible friend calling out and fluttering around a bit as well, seeming to be waiting for more or trying to find a group to be with. Another chickadee call was heard in the distance behind him and with that his bird flew, watching it go before looking back to the girl.

"Uh..." She blinked and turned her gaze back to him, feeling a slight tingle of a blush over her cheeks as she struggled to respond right away. "Y-yeah, everything is fine. I''m uh... Just.. I'm shy around new people..." She mumbled as she looked away, her body outwardly relaxed, but on high alert inside as she paid close attention to how he acted, her mistrust of others making her weary. The girl shuffled a bit as she watched him watching the birds that she heard chirping, her head turning slightly to look at the lone bird as well. After a quiet moment she let her tongue slip across her lips, moistening them to speak. "So, what exactly are you? A hawk of some sort?" She asked casually, another question coming to mind as she turned and started walking deeper into the forest, seeing if he'd follow. "Why did you eat the jerky..? Couldn't you of gone home and got food? Usually shi- We, don't take 'human food' like that.." She trailed off a bit as her attention was grabbed by a deer dashing out from some bushes ahead of them, a frown coming across her lips at her carelessness as to not realize it was there. "Oh, uhh, would you like some more by the way? I have lots left. I get it at a discount since I always get so much." She smiled and turned her head to the man, seeing if he was following her. "You're not from around here are you? I'm pretty sure I know most of the town, and I don't recall ever seeing you... Or a hawk for that matter. What's it like to fly?" She blushed and scuffed her foot to the dirt, giving a slight cough. "I'm sorry, I'm usually not like this... Just nervous..."

He nodded and smiled to her blush, finding the girls red face cute. As she started to question him he blinked some, tilting his head to the side a bit before he started to speak. "Well yes, I am a Red-tail Hawk..." The man slowly started to follow the girl as she walked further into the forest, watching her from behind just in case she tried anything. He watched the deer run by as it broke the girls train of thought, answering her question before she had started again. "Mmm, we? And cause it was there to grab, not everyone behaves the same." He laughed softly, shaking his head to the thought of a world where everyone had, not liking how it looked in his mind. His gaze lingered on her now, eyes slowly moving up and down her form, blushing as she turned around at that moment, shifting his gaze elsewhere with a shake of his head to her question. His gaze was still cast downward, walking forward blindly as she spoke, not wanting to meet her gaze at the time. "Im not from around here no, I dont even know where here is. I take it you are though?" He laughed some and looked up through the tree tops to the sky. "Well... It is alot of fun depending on the day... The wind just ruffles your feathers and you can go anywhere, sometimes with little effort if you find some thermals. It sure beats the hell out of walking, its my favorite way to travel..." He trailed off, and looked back down, smiling some. "Its alright."

With her keen hearing, she studied the sound if his foot falls, judging that he was indeed walking behind her. "It must be nice, but I think I enjoy my form too much, even if I don't get to fly. Flying dos sound marvelous though, I'd love to fly." She turned to see his flushed face but thought nothing of it, continuing walking through the trees, knowing her way through, as well as to a lot of neat places, one of which she as walking towards. "Yes, we. It's not safe to talk about our kind. There at humans who do, but may are killed 'Accidentally' so it's better to not mention it. We're prey safe here cause the hunters in this town are scared of getting ambushed, it's happened before. Best to be careful, and be ready for anything. They have these wicked collars... If they get it on you, your stuck in whatever form you were in... And they're almost impossible to get off, because they take keys that the hunters have. So, where are you from? Right now we're on the outskirts between the three main towns. We started at the park in Sunset City." The girl leaped over a fallen log and continued on, destination set in mind, hardly having to pay attention to where she was waking. Her eyes scanned the ground for any prints that may of indicated someone else around, happily finding nothing. She thought about his answer as if she were in the sky, a white winged fox getting a slight giggle out of her.

He moved with her as she continued to walk, wondering if she actually knew where she was going or if this was just a random way. If it was the latter he hoped they didnt get lost, that wasnt on his agenda for the day, but then again neither was following a stranger. He nodded to her as she spoke, replying quietly. "It is pretty fun, too bad Im not some griffin, co---" A small gasp took place of words as he caught a root that was sticking out of the ground, grabbing for a branch before he regained his footing, luckily he didnt fall. "Woah... Uh... I could take you up then..."He finished, blushing somewhat in embaracement to his trip up. "What is your form anyway..?" As she spoke he looked upwards a bit, being cautious though so he didnt trip again. He sighed some as the canopy of the forest took up all of the sky, this meant it would be harder for him to get away should something happen, since he would have to go to through the trees. "Yea I know about hunters... Bastards burnt down my town, we never really named it, it was just a few of us. Maybe 4 or 5, so we didnt see the need for a name..." He trailed off, suppressing the memories that flashed in his head about his old home, looking off to the side, eyes distant and not taking in anything around him.
