"Yeah, it's nice to have. Maybe at one point, I'll use it to get away..." She mused more to herself than to him, thinking about what she could do with it in a few years.
Maybe I could get an island, or a nice place in the woods... Somewhere that I could hunt, and live without worry.
Who am I kidding?
She recoiled at the thought, flinching visibly before shaking her head and walking on with him.
The girl gave him a long look as he looked down away from her eyes, a flush of guilt washing over her as he became upset to what she'd said. It was rough, but it was life. She told herself, trying to make herself feel better about it. He couldn't go around talking like they weren't in danger. Hell, for all she knew the building had video surveillance for reasons like that.
Sure the lady who owned the building was older, but her daughter wasn't. With keys to all the rooms in her possession, it was a god send that her Hunter neighbour hadn't mugged the poor girl and broken into rooms.
With that in mind, she made a mental note to lay down some rules with the man whose arm she was on if he was staying, and invest in a second deadbolt.
The deadbolt was even if he didn't stay.
Like him she noticed that not too many people were about, not reading much into it. In a town where violence was usual, people tended to stay inside at dusk. The Hunters weren't the only problem. Like anywhere, general crime was something on the mind. With easy access to weapons, everyone was armed, and some were dangerous.
As they reached the doors and he spoke she nodded, letting him take control of the situation.
As he brushed her she looked over curiously, unsure if it was a way to get her attention discreetly or not. When he didn't look she gave a casual look around, nodding as he spoke.
"We have lots of time, all night." She confirmed for him, walking in with him. Making a face, she let him tug her along to the booth, releasing his arm when he let go of hers. Slipping off her coat, she tossed it across the seat, sitting down across from him. As the waitress came to the table she quickly scanned the drinks, ordering a frozen lemonade to start.

The man set his sweatshirt in the booth after she had let go of his arm and moved away, sitting down after she did and picking up the menu. He scanned the choices and was caught off guard by the waitress, having not been in a restaurant for awhile. He ordered a plain lemonade and went back to the menu, scanning the various choices curiously, completely forgetting about the "deal meals". He looked for something not overly expensive, he didn't have much cash and he didn't want to make her pick up the difference. He found some reasonably priced sesame chicken and dumplings, deciding that's what he wanted he set down the menu and looked over towards her for a moment. "Find anything you like?"
His gaze turned slowly as he spoke, looking around the rest of the restaurant, only noticing a few people in here as well, most of them being the wait staff. Not to bad of a place, nice and quiet. I'm really glad its not crowded, would be to hard to keep track of things that way. His eyes stopped at a fish tank, watching the colorful salt water fish swimming around. He focused on the tank for a little bit, enjoying the calm it gave him, shaking himself out of it after a little while.
His attention the returned to the girl, smiling over to her as he sipped on his lemonade, thanking the waitress that brought it over. "This place seems pretty dead" He spoke in a low whisper after the waitress left. "Is it because of the time? or is this just not a good place?" He asked with a small laugh, watching her amused as he awaited her reply. His hands moved to grab a sugar package from the tables tray, spinning it in his hands slowly to keep them busy.

She politely thanked the waitress as their drinks were brought, asking for more time with the menu after she'd been asked about what she wanted. Her lips slipped around the straw of her drink to sip at, browsing through the menu. She looked at a few different dishes, deciding on a sweet and sour chicken 'salad'.
"Hn?" She looked to him a moment blankly before his words set in, nodding her head with a smile.
"Yeah, I have a few dishes I switch between at most places around here. What about you?"
She sipped more of her drink while he looked around, following his gaze behind her to the fish which she watched for a short while. The girl carelessly stirred her drink with her straw while watching the fish, sipping on it a few times before turning her attention back to the table. Her attention snapped up to him wearily, hoping to god that he wouldn't mention anything they couldn't talk about.
She scoffed at his question and laughed quietly, shaking her head with an amused look on her face.
"It's a fine place, not a lot of people go out late, like I said. If we came earlier, it would probably be packed. Oh, by the way, did you want that movie? We can order the appitiser to start if you want."
She watched him casually before looking back down at the menu, leafing through a few pages to find their deals. She browsed over them while she waited for his answer, fingers tapping against her glass.

His gaze was on her as she spoke again, taking another sip of his drink before he spoke to her again, giving her a small shrug. "Well I am not sure what I should get... I was thinking maybe some noodles or something along those lines. Sure we could get an appetizer." His attention was caught by some movement off towards the door, watching a few figures move about just outside. He continued to watch the mysterious figures, looking away briefly as the door made a small ding as they came in. He then turned his attention back to his companion, nodding some randomly just in case she said anything.
The waitress soon returned and asked about food, he just nodded to her and let Aysel do the ordering, not knowing what he wanted anyhow from the slight distraction up front. There was something about the two figures that made him uneasy, this apparent in the small shift he made, trying to get a better look at the two. "who.. are..." He whispered under his breath, nearly silently. The two had sat in a booth on the other side of the restaurant, a few booths down from where they had. The one facing away from him was in a dark blue hoody and jeans close to matching the hoody. From the way it looked the person was female, blonde hair underneath a worn baseball cap. Her companion wore a hood over his head, his reddish brown hair coming down into his face slightly, although it was hard to tell many features from the hood. His hoody was a light brown, worn and dirty, wearing a light blue colored pair of jeans.
The mans improved vision helped him pick out a few more details in the other males face, eyes widening briefly as he recognized him. He quickly glanced away, back down to the menu although he wasn't reading it, his heart picking up pace as memories flashed through his mind. How the hell! That fucker is here?!?!? No... He can't be here! His mind raced, gripping at the menu a little tightly, trying to calm himself down and not draw attention.

Her eyes remained on the menu in front of her, having flipped a few pages back to the appetizers after he mentioned getting one. Unsure of what he wanted she decided to go for something simple; boneless chicken bites. The flavours listed had to have something he liked... Right? Her bright green eyes shot up as the man looked aside, watching him curiously. His odd actions set her on edge and she took a quick glance over, merely seeing two people being seated.
"Would you like the boneless chicken bites as an appetizer?"
She asked him to try and divert his attention, feeling he was giving too much of it to the other table. She awaited on his answer while leafing through another page, her peripheral vision upon the two seated people across the room as the waitress returned to take their orders.

His mind was still racing as she seemed to sit calmly across from him, his gaze searching the menu swiftly. Once she broke the silence his gaze shot up to her, taking a deep breath in as he caught her eyes, letting it out slowly to try and calm down again. It took a few moments for what she said to sink in and register, staring to her gaze a bit longer however as it seemed to calm him. "Yes, I think that would be fine..." His voice had not quite calmed as much as he would have liked, seeming on edge a bit. I have to calm down... panicking will do us no good... In fact it probably would endanger her... That is the last thing I want.
"Maybe the honey BBQ or sweet thai chili ones?" He asked her after skimming some of the flavors on the menu, coming across more calm this time he thought, but whether it appeared that way to her was a different story. He noticed her gaze off to the two people, his vision staying on her however as a precautionary measure. His vision dropped down to the table as her vision came back to the menu, a small blush appearing upon his face.
The waitress soon arrived at the table, acknowledging her with a small nod of his head as she asked for their order, looking over to the girl across the table, waiting for her to make the final decision.

She watched his worried eyes with a questioning glance, a hand moving to brush her hair from her brindle locks from her face. She brought her hand down to her lemonade and sipped it while he answered, her attention focusing on the waitress as she placed down her drink. His concern was nagging at her, and she half wanted to ask if they could get their food boxed, feeling uncomfortable with his edgy persona. As the waiter asked about the order she replied with her dish and the appetizer, hues turning to the man to get him to order what he wanted. The waitress stood waiting, efficiently blocking the woman's line of sight to the other table her companion was worried about. Thinking quickly she butted in, her voice calm.
"Oh, the boneless bites, could you make it half barbeque half Thai chili please?"
The waitress nodded and scribbled it down on her pad, once more letting her attention slip to the man.
